Maine Event

After 30 hours of traveling (Manila-Nagoya-Detroit-New York-Maine), I arrived in Bar Harbor, Maine 2 weeks ago. I stayed there for a few days to visit my brother. It's a great place to relax. Of course, I had to try the food!

It was still summer in Manila so I had to get used to the cold right away. Lots of greenery and it's pretty quiet. Went hiking walking on a not so steep trail and climbed stepped on some big rocks.

Had my own boiled whole lobster at The Chart Room. It was perfect! It had really soft lobster meat. It came with rich clarified butter, fries, and asparagus.

Had some seafood at Galyn's.

This is their lobster bisque. The lobster flavor was very intense. It was a little bit too thick for me though and I wish I had more meat in it. I finished it though, so I'm not complaining!

Dijon Mussels. Local mussels steamed in a broth of white wine, Dijon mustard, garlic and herbs. The mussels were a lot bigger and had more meat than what I'm used to in the Philippines. Ate a lot of this!
Weapon of choice for the mussels.
Crab Cakes. Surprisingly really moist inside.
