Air Pockets

Yesterday, I had late lunch with a couple of friends at Larry's Cafe & Bar at Serendra. We wanted to try out the different kinds of soufflé they had! They all tasted good but I wish their edges were straighter and that they had more rise. Not complaining though!

We had a five cheese pasta with dried cranberries while waiting for the soufflés. The cranberries gave a nice constrast to the cheesiness of the dish!

Spinach soufflé
Had a good amount of spinach in it. Almost didn't finish it since the ramekin was quite big and it was filling. Loved the burnt cheese on top.

Grand Marnier soufflé
This was very light and airy. You could taste the Grand Marnier, but it could have used a little bit more to emphasize the flavor. Wouldn't have a problem eating 2 of these!

Chocolate soufflé
Yummy but too too filling! They should put this in a smaller ramekin (unless you're sharing it with someone else.) Should've eaten this at the same time with the pasta so that I wouldn't be overwhelmed with all the chocolate and sugar. Loved the taste though!

Will definitely be coming back here to try out their other dishes!
